Zoi's bid for Olympic gold put on holdZoi Sadowski-Synnott will now compete in the snowboard slopestyle final on Thursday morning

Wanaka's Zoi Sadowski-Synnott, the defending Olympic gold medallist and reigning world champion in slopestyle, will have to wait until tomorrow morning (Thursday February 19) to compete in the snowboard slopestyle final at the Milano Cortina Winter Olympics.

Persistent snow at the finals venue in Livigno Italy forced the postponement of her final competition which was originally scheduled for 1am this morning (February 18).

The event has been rescheduled to 2.30am Thursday morning.

Zoi is the favourite for the slopestyle final after leading the qualifiers ahead of rival Kokomo Murase from Japan.
