Rhythm & Alps festival goers will support a local cause this year just by buying tickets.
One dollar from every ticket sold for this New Years’ Rhythm & Alps music festival will be donated to the Love Wānaka Community Fund.
The fund supports local climate, conservation and biodiversity initiatives.
Love Wānaka Community Fund coordinator Ash Bickley said the organisation was thrilled with the support from Rhythm & Alps.
The three-day festival, which takes place in the Cardrona Valley, attracts around 10,000 partygoers and 6,000 campers.
“Every dollar raised will go back to this region,” Ash said.
“Love Wānaka is all about supporting organisations and initiatives that are providing actionable solutions to support the shift to a regenerative, carbon zero future.”
General Service, a shared space based in the heart of Wānaka, is also supporting Love Wānaka.
General Service will host screen-printing sessions at its Dunmore Street premises from December 27 to January 2, with $5 from each t-shirt sold going towards Love Wānaka.

“We can all play a part in shaping a better future, in some way shape or form and one of the best moves is to donate to a fund that supports action-based solutions,” General Service director and co-founder Patrick Greene said.
“People will be able to come in and have the t-shirt made right in front of them and know that their purchase will be going to the greater good of this really special part of the world.”
Ash said every dollar raised “will go back to ensuring this place is looked after for many years to come and support this region’s shift to a regenerative, zero-carbon future”.
You will find General Service at 17 Dunmore Street (Unit K Pembroke Mall). The General Service Instagram has details on times.
