A paraglider pilot was critically injured in an incident on Mt Iron this afternoon (Monday December 29).

A Hone Hato St John spokesperson told the Wānaka App they were advised of an incident in the Mt Iron area at 1.27pm.

One helicopter and one ambulance responded.

“One patient with critical injuries was flown through to Dunedin Hospital,” the spokesperson said.
