There is now another collection site in Wānaka for pre-ordered rapid antigen testing kits (RATs) for Covid-19.
A new pop-up RAT collection site at the Wānaka Recreation Centre (41 Sir Tim Wallis Drive) is allowing Upper Clutha residents to collect the rapid antigen tests for home testing.
The collection point is the portacom to the left of the recreation centre’s main entrance.
Opening hours are 10am to 2pm, from today (Tuesday March 8) until Tuesday March 15.
Please note RATs must be pre-ordered through the RAT requestor website or by ringing 0800222478 (option 3) from 8am to 8pm.
Anyone who is symptomatic or a household contact of a confirmed case can order RATs.
An order number, assigned through the RAT requestor process, is required to collect testing kits.
At this stage Wānaka Pharmacy and the new pop-up site at the recreation centre are the only RAT collection sites in Wānaka.
Testing (both RAT and PCR) continues to be available at community testing sites and general practices throughout Otago and Southland.
Other RAT collection sites are listed here.
