A man has been taken to Dunstan Hospital by the Otago Rescue Helicopter after his vehicle flipped on Ardmore Street this afternoon (Wednesday July 1).

A St John spokesperson said the patient had moderate injuries.

Emergency services were called to the single vehicle car crash after reports were received around 3.24pm that a vehicle had crashed and flipped over. 

The driver crashed into a parked car before flipping .

A parked car was damaged in the incident

The driver was freed from the vehicle, tended to by St John, and transported by helicopter.
