Locals can learn tips and tricks for reducing waste, saving money and leading a healthier, more resourceful lifestyle at a Wastebusters event taking place next Thursday (October 17).
‘Fixing fairy’ and Wastebusters staffer Ruth Blunt will present the Low Waste Living: Spring Edition, which will be held at the Lake Wānaka Centre.
Ruth will provide practical advice to help people feel inspired and empowered to live a more low-waste life.
“Living low waste can help reclaim your precious time, save money and incorporate sustainability in the everyday without compromising on the things you love,” Ruth said.
“I'll be sharing my favourite low waste wins, tried and tested recipes, and a few tricks to make the most of what you've got.
“It's not about being perfect, it’s about finding ways to make a difference that work for you.”
Wastebusters said Ruth is known for her down-to-earth approach and endless tips on how small, easy changes can make a big impact.
Attendees can also expect low waste summer recipes, hands-on DIYs, low waste gardening tips and information on recycling.
Low Waste Living: Spring Edition will be held at the Lake Wānaka Centre on Thursday October 17, from 6pm-8pm.
The event is supported by the Queenstown Lakes District Council's Zero Waste District Programme.
