Emergency services are responding to a crash involving a single vehicle on the Crown Range Road, reported at around 8.15am (Tuesday March 5).
Police told the Wānaka App a vehicle had rolled and blocked the northbound lane.
“One person is reported to have minor injuries. Motorists are advised to expect delays while the crash is dealt with,” a police spokesperson said.
A passer-by told the Wānaka App the incident happened near the summit of the Crown Range.
“I don’t even know how he crashed on that corner, he must have been going so fast.”
She said the people in the vehicle “looked like tourists”, and one was walking around, collecting belongings.
Snow fell on higher parts of the Crown Range early this morning but had not settled on the road.
