The Southern District Health Board (SDHB) says there are an additional 30 confirmed cases of Covid-19 in the Southern district yesterday, 22 of them in the Queenstown Lakes.
There are now 332 close contacts also isolating in Queenstown Lakes, the SDHB said.
In yesterday’s update the SDHB said there were now 56 cases in Queenstown Lakes, but information it provided on Monday said there were 41 cases, which would make yesterday’s total 63 (with the increase of 22).
Clarification for the discrepancy has been sought from the SDHB and the Ministry of Health.
The other new cases in the Southern District yesterday are in Dunedin (two new cases for a total of five), Gore (its first four cases) and Invercargill (two new cases bringing its total to three).
Relishes Cafe in Wānaka was added as a location of interest on the Ministry of Health website yesterday.
Anyone who visited on Monday (February 7) between 10.18am and 11.30am should self-isolate and test immediately and five days after exposure.
The SDHB does not provide town-specific information on case locations so the breakdown of cases within Queenstown Lakes is unclear.
