"Singing without boundaries" world music workshop with Aquabella from Germany

Aquabella are one of the leading German vocal ensembles, they have won international awards and sing in 20 languages.

In this workshop, the focus is on

• the study of simple international songs

• vocal techniques such as open throat technique (Bulgarian women's choirs); shouting (African song); yodelling, clicking sounds of the Xosa,and lyrical singing

• stage presence and body language

• rhythm and body percussion

Aquabella have many years experience and approach workshops with precise attention to a great sonic result as well as humour. They encourage the boldness of every singer to explore his and her limits. It's about how to use your voice and body on stage.

Aquabella will also be performing at Luggate Memorial Hall on Friday 16 February at 7pm and will be joined on stage by workshop attendees and local choirs.  

The workshop is open to anyone who enjoys singing, either solo or in a choir.

The workshop will start promptly at 7pm and run until 9pm. Please arrive promptly to ensure we can start on time.
