Wanaka teens arrested for breaking into vape storeTwo Wanaka teens broke into this Invercargill vape store.

Two Wanaka students were arrested early last Monday morning (August 31) after they attempted to break into the Shosha vape store in Invercargill.

The youths were arrested, and have been referred by police to Youth Aid.

There were no reports of any items taken.

The boys are members of the Mount Aspiring College (MAC) under 15 rugby team, which was attending a tournament in the southern city.

MAC acting principal Dean Shepherd told parents he was “deeply disappointed and saddened” by the students’ action, and said they will be “held to account”.

At a Wanaka Alcohol Group meeting late last year Year 11 dean Simon Nyhoff said vaping was one of the “biggest problems” for schools.
