Local wine and food producers will be on show at Glendhu Bay on March 18, 2023 when Ripe returns to showcase Central Otago’s wine and food industry.
The 2023 event will be the second Ripe festival and the first to be held on the shores of Lake Wānaka at Glendhu Bay.
“Glendhu Bay provides a premium location for us,” event organiser Nathan White said.
“We’ve got the lake views, the mountain views and the [Glendhu Bay Motor Camp] campground right there.”

Many of New Zealand’s premium wineries will be pouring wines including Akarua, Amisfield, Cloudy Bay, Gibbston Valley, Misha’s Vineyard, Maude Wines, and Valli.
“We can’t wait to showcase the world-class Central Otago Wine and Food producers surrounded by the majestic scenery of Lake Wānaka to our guests coming from near and far,” Nathan said.
Organisers have secured some of the biggest names in the wine industry to appear as special guests, including journalist, author and wine writer Joelle Thomson, and master of wine Bob Campbell.
