Rural areas including Luggate, Hāwea Flat and north of Albert Town (but excluding Lake Hāwea) are 83 percent fully vaccinated with 88 percent of the eligible population having had one dose.

Lake Hāwea is 86 percent fully vaccinated; and 90 percent have received one dose.

The data shows that 735 people who are eligible for the vaccine remain unvaccinated across the Upper Clutha.

The traffic light system came into effect on Friday (December 3) with the Upper Clutha on the Orange setting. Prime minister Jacinda Ardern confirmed on Monday that this setting will remain in place until a review in the week of Monday January 17, 2022.

Under the Orange setting face coverings are mandatory on public transport, in taxis, retail and public venues.

Many businesses and events will require proof of full vaccination (vaccine certificate) upon entry.

From Wednesday December 15 Aucklanders were able to travel beyond the city's border as long as they are fully vaccinated, or have a negative test 72 hours prior to departure. This requirement will remain in place during the core summer period, until January 17, 2022.
