Update 2.40pm: The road is now open.

Two people have been transported to hospital with moderate injuries following a crash this afternoon (Saturday December 14) on the Lindis Pass.

The crash involved a vehicle and two people, and was reported to police around 12:40pm.

The road (SH8) was closed for two hours near Birchwood Road.
