A fire in a power box on the back of a building behind Ardmore Street led to a fire brigade call-out on Wednesday evening (November 13).
A Fire and Emergency NZ (FENZ) spokesperson told the Wānaka App the firefighters extinguished the fire, and there was no damage to the building.
FENZ alerted the power company, she said.
The transformer was on the back of the Cork Bar building.

Ritual Cafe owner Chris Hadfield said the fire caused “a bit of excitement”, and was as loud as a commercial fireworks display.
He said Delta workers remained at the scene and power was restored by 1am.
