Three Queenstown ‘locations of interest’ for Covid-19Three Covid-19 locations of interest have been identified in Queenstown.

Three Queenstown locations have been named as locations of interest linked to one or more Covid-19 cases.

The Ministry of Health (MOH) has listed SkyCity Casino on Beach Street, Oak Club Suites on Frankton Road and Shotover Jet at Arthurs Point as locations of interest which the public should be aware of.

Anyone who was at these locations at the times listed below should self-monitor for Covid-19 symptoms for 10 days after exposure and, if symptoms develop, must get a test and stay at home until they get a negative test result.

The dates and times to be aware of for each location are Saturday January 1 from 5.50pm -7.30pm (Skycity Casino); between Thursday December 29 at 9.30pm and Sunday January 2 at 8.30am (Oak Club Suites); and Sunday January 2 between 9am and midday (Shotover Jet).

“As always, we would reinforce messaging relating to following MOH guidelines if you have visited a location of interest at the times specified,” a Southern District Health Board spokesperson said, “and get tested if you’re experiencing any symptoms, regardless of whether you’ve been to a location of interest.”

Testing and vaccination centre locations for the Southern Region can be found online here.

The Ministry of Health website does not list any active cases in the Southern District which suggests the case or cases were visitors to the region.
