Wanaka's Adam Hall has finished in third place at the FIS Para Alpine Slalom World Cup held in Switzerland overnight.
The Beijing 2022 Paralympic double bronze medallist, said he was really happy with the result and performance.
"I haven’t stood on a World Cup podium in five years, the last time was right before the PyeongChang 2018 Paralympics, I am really pleased,” he said.
Adam, who competes in the men’s standing category, had a solid first run on the snowy slopes of St. Moritz, sitting in second position after the first run, +5.06 behind leader Arthur Bauchet of France.

Coming into run two, with less than one second separating Adam from his next closest four competitors, his experience and ability to perform under pressure was evident, finishing just three hundredths of a second ahead of the fourth-place time.
“The conditions here in St. Moritz have been very diverse and challenging, from both a technical and tactical perspective," Adam said.
"There has been a lot of snow fall and low visibility, but the snow surface underneath has been spectacular.”
Arthur Bauchet (FRA) held onto the top spot to take the win, with Aaron Lindstroem of Sweden finishing in second place.
Adam has another race this evening (Sunday December 11) at 10pm New Zealand time, and say he is feeling strong and looking forward to putting down another good performance.
