Two Wānaka tattoo studios are collaborating on a fundraiser today (Saturday June 18) to support a well-known local tattoo artist.

Holy Skin Tattoo artist Kylie Garth is in Christchurch Hospital ICU following a serious injury.

Holy Skin Tattoo and Inside Tattoo Wānaka are collaborating on a double studio ‘flash day’ today (Saturday June 18) from 11am until late.

All the proceeds from appointments today will go to Kylie and her partner Al to help ease the financial burden of her accident and treatment, and help with living costs and the costs associated with being away from work.

Kylie’s brother Jason reported that Kylie has had brain surgery and is in a stable condition, “but it is a long road for her and Al to travel until she makes a full recovery”.

For anyone unable to make it to the fundraiser today, both studios will be collecting donations all week.
