Snow Sports NZ said the Kiwi snow sports athletes and their teams “have once again punched far above their weight on a global scale”.
“We are so proud of each and every one of them for their achievements,” the organisation said.
The local snow sports finalists are Zoi Sadowski-Synnott (Wānaka) - 2degrees Sportswoman of the Year; Luca Harrington - ISPS HANDA Sportsman of the Year; Finley Melville Ives - Sky Sport Emerging Talent Award; and Hamish McDougall - Buddle Findlay Coach of the Year.
Alice Robinson of Queenstown has been named as a finalist for the 2degrees Sportswoman of the Year.
The Halberg Awards have announced 32 finalists across six categories, in a year “that has celebrated passion, determination, and inspiring moments”.
