The session will be an opportunity to gain an understanding of what it is like to be hearing impaired, and to learn some basic sign language.Wanaka Library is holding a ‘taster’ session on sign language next week.
The session will take place next Thursday (June 17) at 11am and people who would like to take part will need to register their interest.
The library has teamed up with Deaf Aotearoa to bring the free session to Wanaka.
It will be an opportunity to gain an understanding of what it is like to be hearing impaired, and to learn some basic sign language.
Sessions will also be taking place at Frankton and Queenstown libraries.
