The Wānaka Upper Clutha Community Board (WUCCB) has announced the continuation of its community engagement series, 'Share with Us,' which provides locals with a platform to connect directly with their elected members.

The first session for 2024 is scheduled for next Wednesday (February 21), at McMurdo Park in Albert Town from 3.00-5.00 pm, in collaboration with Summerdaze and the pop-up activities programme by Queenstown Lakes District Council (QLDC).

WUCCB chair Simon Telfer has extended an open invitation to the community, encouraging everyone interested to come along to chat with board members and councillors, and to share their ideas, feedback, or concerns.

"Our first event promises a vibrant atmosphere with a free sausage sizzle courtesy of the board, and all the great games and activities for tamariki that are part and parcel with council’s Summerdaze programme,” he said.

“We hope to see a lively gathering of locals for an afternoon of conversation, food, and fun.”

'Share with Us' sessions will take place every eight weeks, with future sessions being held at the Paetara Aspiring Central regularly from 12.00-1.30pm (March 6, May 1, July 3, September 4, and November 6.

The events offer an invaluable opportunity to directly engage with elected members in the Queenstown Lakes district, Simon said.

Event details, including locations and times, will be available on the Council's Facebook page and official website.
