Themed ‘Blossom of the Night’, the decorations gave students the impression they were transported to a Japanese cherry blossom garden.

The event in the Lake Wanaka Centre was attended by almost 250 Year 12 and 13 students and partners, teacher Sharon Arlidge told the Wanaka App.

Four hours passed quickly with a served dinner, the taking of photos, awards and dancing.

“It was a great night that continued the successful tradition for the college, but was especially memorable this year when so many other ‘usuals’ have not been able to happen,” Sharon said.
