Ripe, Wānaka’s wine and food festival, will be back at Glendhu Bay on March 22, 2025.
Otago Event Planning director Nathan White has promised “an unforgettable experience” at the festival, featuring a line-up of 26 Central Otago wineries, an array of food options, live music, and Glendhu Bay’s stunning scenery.
“We know the crowd loves our casual Wānaka vibe and we will never lose that, but we have made a few tweaks that might just make 2025 the best yet,” Nathan said.
The Glendhu Social Club will once again feature the Scapegrace Cocktail Bar, serving cocktails and RTDs, and the ‘Brews x Views’ bar will be hosted by Rhyme x Reason.
New to 2025 will be the George FM Chill Bar, which will provide a relaxing spot to soak in the day’s festivities and sip on a drink in the shade while enjoying chilled beats from the George FM team.
Also new is the ‘Wine Walk Series’, featuring guided wine tours where you can meet local winemakers and enjoy specially selected tastings and food pairings.
The main stage will be headlined by Kiwi star Ladyhawke, known for her infectious energy and chart-topping hits. She will be joined by the electrifying Black Comet, along with Jaz Paterson and The Beatgirls.
For the best seats in the house, the Ripe Wine Lounge provides canapés and bubbles on arrival, and the full package is provided with Ripe Long Lunch, a VIP experience including a four course meal with matching wines.
Ripe will take place on March 22, 2025 at Glendhu Bay. Tickets are now on sale.
