Updated 7.40pm: Power has been restored to the affected area. Aurora has not provided an explanation for the outage at this stage.

A power outage is affecting 892 customers in Wānaka, Aurora Energy says.

The company says it is investigating the cause of the outage which occurred at 5.15pm today (Monday July 29).

The impacted areas are generally in south Wānaka including Three Parks.
