Kahu Youth are inviting all Year 6 students and family to an Open Day at The Crib on the 15th December.
Richard Elvey and the team have organised a fun-filled day of activities, providing an excellent opportunity for all visitors to check out The Crib whilst meeting the staff and the wonderful youth. It is a great opportunity for those who want to ask questions and find out more about the ethos and work Kahu Youth undertakes in the community whilst providing a fun family day out!
Current attendees of Kahu Youth have also sprung into action and have volunteered to run activities on the day to showcase the fun and relaxed atmosphere Kahu offers. Jessie Barkman White, a stalwart at Kahu, is running a ‘Cake in a Cup’ workshop. ‘I have a strong interest in cooking and Kahu has always provided me with the utentsils and ingredients to cook, create and bake! I volunteered to help because I love coming to Kahu and I know others do and will love it too!’
Richard, Hemi and Kyle, all staff members at Kahu will be on site to organise the day and meet and greet students and family. Alongside activities such as Plant Pot Creations, a blow up swimming pool and various sports games and others, Kahu will be providing snacks and music throughout the afternoon! The doors will be open between 3:30pm to 5:30pm so make sure you pop down and say hello! Kia Kaha!
