The Netball Upper Clutha Collegiate Grade (Years 7-10) finals were played on Friday (July 9) night at the Wanaka Recreation Centre.
Both the division one and division two finals were won in the final seconds of their matches, with MANC Yellow winning the first division 20-19 over MANC Pink.
In the second division final MANC Steel beat MANC Pulse 17-16.
Saturday (July 10) saw the end of primary netball for 2021 with players, coaches and supporters gathering for some fun including a coaches match.
Many of these ‘stars of the future’ brave freezing conditions each week to enjoy netball.
In A grade netball MANC A kept their playoff chances alive with a 39-37 win over Cromwell A on Friday (July 9). The teams were locked up at 29-29 after the third quarter in what was a hotly contested match.
The students held their nerve in the final quarter working hard defensively and providing an accurate feed into the shooting circle.
