Netball: Hāwea ball speed too much for DunstanHāwea GD Jen Ferguson and GK Clora Quinlan-Thompson contest the ball feed into Dunstan GS Lucy McLellan.

Hāwea A made it five wins from five matches with a convincing 38-25 win over Dunstan A in the Netball Upper Clutha A grade on Friday (June 18) night.

Hāwea set up the win with a 11-3 demolition of Dunstan in the third quarter. Hāwea’s ball movement and speed proved too much for the Alexandra side.

Dunstan fought hard to be in touch with the defending champions sitting just five goals adrift at halftime (19-14) but the third quarter proved decisive as Hāwea increased the tempo of the match.

Jen Ferguson (Hāwea) and Lucy McLellan (Dunstan) were the players of the match.

MANC A kept their semi final hopes alive with a gritty 31-30 win over Pioneer while the men's team had a comfortable 57-31 win over Monlyneux A. Cromwell had the bye.
