MasterChef winner, television personality and My Food Bag co-founder Nadia Lim will be the guest speaker at this year’s Ignite Wānaka Women in Business Christmas Lunch.
Nadia will share insights from her career and life on Royalburn Station, on the Crown Terrace, at the annual Christmas function on December 9.
Ignite Wānaka chair Jo Learmonth says having someone of Nadia’s calibre to inspire and entertain guests was a real coup.
“Ignite Wānaka’s annual Women in Business Christmas lunch is a hugely popular event, and Nadia will no doubt be a drawcard,” she said. “Nadia’s success story is known to many and we look forward to hearing more about her career and life in the district.”
Nadia trained as a dietician and nutritionist and worked for the Auckland District Health Board before she entered and won MasterChef NZ, an experience which made her a household name.
Since then, Nadia has co-founded the hugely successful home delivery meal service My Food Bag, written at least half a dozen books, returned to MasterChef NZ as a host, and now shares her life with her husband and family on their 1,200 hectare farm with New Zealand audiences via her television series ‘Nadia’s Farm’.
The event is sponsored by Wānaka marketing communications business Scope Media and the company’s managing director - also Ignite Wānaka’s vice chair - Celia Crosbie said she was delighted to welcome Nadia to share her story.
“Nadia is an extremely successful businesswoman, who juggles motherhood at the same time – so her stories will no doubt be inspirational, and relatable to many.”
This year’s lunch takes place at the Upper Clutha Rugby Clubrooms (Pembroke Pavilion) on December 9 and tickets are sold out.
