Land sales at Mt Cardrona Station, the development underway below Cardrona Alpine Resort, have launched.
Mt Cardrona Station Ltd was granted consent three years ago to develop a village comprising up to 620 dwellings, a hotel and 12-hole golf course, on the terrace above the Cardrona Valley highway and adjacent to Cardrona Alpine Resort’s access road.
The village will be built in stages; road access is already under construction and the first stage of 50 residential lots has now been released.
Mt Cardrona Station director Andrew Spencer told the Wanaka App recently the first stage would include land and house packages and had already attracted significant interest off market.
Lots ranging in size from 345sqm to 825sqm are available for purchase in stage one and more are expected to come to market in the next few months.
The 400 hectare development offers residential living, visitor accommodation and ‘village amenities’, including The Homestead (dining, shared workspaces and meeting rooms); and The Adventure Centre (a gym, hot pools, swimming pool and a ski and bike workshop).
The development also has 30 kilometres of hiking and biking trails.
Mt Cardrona Station is being marketed by Sotheby’s International Realty.
