“I am incredibly proud of how all the girls played and that we can leave our football season on an amazing note,” team captain Amelia Holmes said.

“Our team has come a long way considering we had so many new football players who have

improved massively over the season.”

The tournament ends the season for the team which was crowned Central Otago league champions after a 3-1 win over Wakatipu High School in the league final.

Amelia said the team’s coaches Brianna Lobb and Ignacio Sande, along with manager Vicky Brown, have been a great support during the season.

“Big thanks to our amazing coaches and manager this year, the season wouldn't have been the same without them,” she said.
