More than 200 local dancers - from age two through to adults - from Centralpoint Dance Studios took part in the studio’s annual dance show, The Nutcracker Remixed last weekend (December 6-7) at the Lake Wānaka Centre.

Dancers spent the whole of term four working on their performances for the show.

The Nutcracker Remixed is Centralpoint’s modern take on the famous 19th Century classical ballet, set on Christmas Eve.

The show featured a variety of dance genres, including classical ballet, jazz, contemporary, hip hop and lyrical.

Approximately 750 people attended over three shows.
