The dot on the map shows the earthquake's locationA light 3.6 magnitude earthquake caused slight shaking in Wānaka tonight (Sunday, February 8).
The earthquake struck at 10.42pm just south of Luggate at a depth of 5 kilometres.
GeoNet described it as 'light', although one Luggate resident said it "felt like a truck hitting the house".
An Albert Town resident told the Wānaka App it sounded like "a loud bang and our whole house shaking".
There have been no reports of damage.
