Brain Injury Otago has appointed a new liaison officer for the Central Otago region, adapting its service to meet the needs of the Wānaka community.
Tara McNally, who will be running a monthly drop-in clinic at the Wānaka Community Hub, said she is looking forward to meeting and supporting the Wānaka community.
Brain Injury Otago is also holding its annual street appeal in Wānaka today (Friday October 21).

All funds raised will go towards supporting Brain Injury Otago services in the community.
A brain injury occurs every 15 minutes in New Zealand.
The organisation supports traumatic brain injuries, concussion, brain tumours, aneurysms, and other medical events.
It also provides education to community groups which can be tailored to cover specific needs, for example for support staff or sports clubs.
