Southern Police is reminding people heading out tomorrow night (Saturday 24 April) that licensed premises will close at midnight.
"This is just a reminder that Anzac Day - 25th April - falls on a Sunday this year. This means licensed premises will close at midnight on Saturday 24th April," the police statement said.
Police are asking people to plan ahead to get home safely when the bars close at midnight.

"Also, you will not be able to purchase alcohol at liquor stores, supermarkets or licensed premises until 1pm on Sunday 25 April," police said.
