Update 8pm: The road is open.

Earlier:

Lakeside Road is closed this afternoon after a workplace accident which resulted in a Hiab Truck overturning and blocking the Road.

The vehicle, which was parked on the side of the road, was lifting a heavy trench box onto the Marina Terrace Apartments building site when the Hiab toppled over.

The Hiab was being operated remotely and no-one was injured in the incident.

Senior Constable Darren Cranfield said the road is likely to be closed for some time. Worksafe need to investigate the incident before the vehicle can be removed.

Police are in attendance and Lakeside Road is closed from the town round-a-bout to Lismore St.
