How long have you lived in Wanaka?

Over 30 years. My parents moved here and took over the lease at the Pembroke Inn, opposite Pembroke Park, which is now known as the Purple Cow. I was one of the last students to go to the Wanaka Area School, before starting at the new Mount Aspiring College. 

What's the best thing about living here?

The house prices - (I was a Real Estate Agent for four years prior to working at Guthrie Bowron), the scenery, the walking tracks, the lakes, I love it all, and the people are the best.

What's your favourite local activity? 

Walking my dog Tobi and camping at Glendhu Bay.

Personal passion.

My passion is renovating, also I’m right into mental heath and wellbeing, an everyday battle for many of us. I love to socialise and my friends are extremely important to me.

Professional passion.

When I was in Real Estate I enjoyed finding the perfect home for my clients, now in my position at Guthrie Bowron, I love creating exciting design ideas for our customers to suit their new builds or existing homes.

One piece of decorating advice you would give?

Keep it simple. First work on eliminating what you don't like. Then, work on adding in your favourite colour as a feature or item that has meaning for you.
