There are another 248 new cases of Covid-19 in Queenstown Lakes, bringing the total number of active cases to 2,069.
The Southern District Health Board (SDHB), which supplies the Covid-19 figures, does not provide a breakdown of cases within Queenstown Lakes, so the Wānaka App cannot provide Wānaka-specific figures.
Across the Southern District, there are 1,220 new cases, and there have been 18,026 cases across the district in the past 90 days.
There are 90 new cases in Central Otago; 70 in Clutha; 368 in Dunedin; 65 in Gore; 200 in Invercargill; 95 in Southland; and 80 in Waitaki.
There is one person with Covid-19 in hospital in Queenstown Lakes; ten people in Dunedin, and four in Southland.
The SDHB is continuing to urge people who haven’t already received their booster vaccinations to get them now, as it takes about two weeks after vaccination for the body to build full protection against Covid-19.
