Covid-19: 178 new casesThere are 178 new cases of Covid-19 in Queenstown Lakes.

There are 178 new cases of Covid-19 in Queenstown Lakes, bringing the active total in the district to 1,132.


The Southern District Health Board (SDHB) does not provide a breakdown of cases within Queenstown Lakes so the Wānaka App cannot provide Wānaka-specific figures.



Across the Southern District there are 1,368 new cases and an active total of 7,970 cases.


There are 102 new cases in Central Otago; 64 in Clutha; 400 in Dunedin; 55 in Gore; 33 in Invercargill; 144 in Southland; and 85 in Waitaki. 


Twenty-four people are in hospital with Covid-19 in Southern: 13 in Dunedin, 10 in Southland and one in Queenstown Lakes.



One of the Dunedin cases in hospital is in the ICU.
