The recovery of stolen building and power tools in a property search in Queenstown yesterday (Wednesday June 29) serves as a timely reminder to construction site workers to secure sites and label their equipment.
Following a number of burglaries in the Queenstown area police executed a search warrant and have arrested a 30-year-old man in relation to the burglaries.
"Police actively investigate stolen property and endeavour to hold offenders to account but need owners to do their part to prevent theft," a police statement said.
The man arrested is due to appear in Queenstown District Court on Monday July 4 on charges of burglary and theft.
Police are now working to identify and return the recovered property to the owner, or owners.
