More severe wind gusts are expected tomorrow (Monday 5 October) with the Metservice issuing a strong wind warning from 9am Monday.

From tomorrow morning northwest gales are forecast to be severe at times, with gusts reaching 120km/h.

Strong wind gusts could damage trees, powerlines and unsecured structures. Driving may be hazardous, especially for high-sided vehicles and motorcycles.

Check that items on your property are secure and take extra care if out and about during this time.
