Do you believe in the power of volunteering to bring people together and strengthen communities? We’re looking for a motivated, community-minded person to join our Volunteer South team as a Community Connector!

In this part-time role (25 hours/week), you’ll help connect volunteers with meaningful opportunities, support local organisations with their volunteer programmes, and promote the value of volunteering across the Queenstown Lakes District.

What you'll be doing:

• Supporting local groups and organisations with volunteer recruitment and best practices.
• Helping people to connect with meaningful and rewarding volunteering opportunities.
• Promoting volunteering through events, campaigns, and community engagement.
• Collaborating with a passionate, region-wide team.

You’ll thrive in this role if you:

• Bring a passion for volunteering and experience in community-focused roles.
• Are a confident communicator, able to connect with people from diverse backgrounds.
• Are organised, proactive, and experienced in working on projects.
• Work well both independently and as part of a supportive, remote team.

This is a flexible role with the potential for additional project-based hours in areas like marketing and communications, training facilitation and development - let us know your strengths.
