The Wānaka App is looking for a casual news reporter to join our team on a leave-cover basis.

This flexible role is ideal for someone who enjoys staying connected to the community and has a strong instinct for local stories.

We’re looking for someone who has experience in news reporting or can make a compelling case for their writing ability. You’ll be confident interviewing people, comfortable working to deadlines, and able to produce clear, accurate stories that reflect our region and its readers.

This is a casual position, with hours varying depending on coverage needs.
