Hāwea Flat School is seeking a Caretaker for a permanent position. The hours are 30 hours per week, 52 weeks per year.

The primary role of the Caretaker will be to ensure that the school buildings and grounds are maintained to a high standard.

Key duties:

• Being a key member of the Health & Safety Committee
• Building and property maintenance (No building experience required)
• Upkeep of gardens
• Compliance checks and liaising with contractors

• Enjoys a role that is very hands-on
• Has excellent communication
• Interpersonal and time management skills
• Can interact in a professional manner with staff, students, contractors and our community
• Has a high attention to detail and shows initiative
• Can maintain an overall safe environment.
