Do you love working outdoors and operating machinery? 

We’re looking for reliable, skilled tractor and machinery operators able to start immediately and join our team at Deep Creek Fruits. This is a full time, permanent position.  

About the Role 

This is a hands-on role with a strong focus on tractor driving and machinery operation across our large cherry orchards. You’ll help keep our orchards running smoothly — from mowing, spraying, and towing cherry bins, to assisting with general orchard work when required. 

What You’ll Be Doing 

• Operating orchard tractors, mowers, sprayers, and trailers in line with safe work practices. 
• Carrying out daily machinery checks and minor maintenance. 
• Supporting orchard operations such as pruning, irrigation, bird netting, and harvest preparation. 
• Following all health, safety, and environmental procedures under the Health and Safety at Work Act 2015. 

What We’re Looking For 

• Previous experience operating tractors, farm vehicles, or machinery (essential). 
• GrowSafe Certificate (desirable) 
• Mechanically minded and confident working independently. 
• Physically fit and happy working outdoors in all conditions. 
• Positive attitude, great teamwork, and attention to detail. 
• Current NZ driver’s licence (tractor endorsement an advantage).
