Central Otago REAP Central Otago REAP is seeking a compassionate, child-centred Counsellor to join the Awhi Atu Student Support Programme.

This is a meaningful role supporting the wellbeing of tamariki across several local primary schools, helping to remove barriers to learning and strengthen whānau and community connections.

About the Role

• School-based counsellor working with children aged 5–13 Predominantly based in Wānaka.
• Delivering short-term, strengths-based support within the school setting
• Working closely with teachers, whānau and other support services
• Using a holistic and culturally responsive approach to wellbeing

What We’re Looking For

• Warmth, professionalism and a genuine commitment to children’s wellbeing
• You Will Have A recognised qualification in Counselling
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to build positive whānau relationships and work collaboratively with multiple agencies
• Confidence to work both independently and as part of a supportive team
• A full, clean NZ driver’s licence
