Dunstan Hospital is a rural trust hospital based in Clyde, Central Otago. We have an exciting opportunity for a Registered Nurse to secure a role on our highly impressive acute inpatient ward, where you will receive the best rural healthcare experience ever. We provide a wide range of healthcare services for a large geographical area, two and half hours from our base hospital in Dunedin.

Our ward comprises 24 beds, including a 3 bed High Dependency Unit. We provide acute medical care, trauma/emergency medical care (no walk in ED) rehabilitation and palliative care throughout the age spectrum. You will work closely with the medical team and all members of the wider multidisciplinary team. 


Our ward nurses must be available to work rostered shifts on variable days including the on-call roster. We are looking for a 0.8 FTE permanent position but will consider other hours of offer. 


We are looking for nurses who:

  • Have a current Annual Practising Certificate with the NZ Nursing Council.
  • Have had recent acute nursing experience.
  • Are self-motivated, positive, and enthusiastic both in service delivery and professional development.
  • Are genuine and committed team players.
  • Are eligible to work in New Zealand.
