We are seeking an energetic and adaptable Allied Health Services Leader (0.6FTE) based at Dunstan Hospital in Clyde, Central Otago. 


This role is responsible for leading high quality allied health services, with a focus on delivering coordinated care across clinical areas and presents an exciting opportunity to make a positive contribution to the health and wellbeing of our Central Otago communities. 


The Allied Health Service Leader is responsible for the Kaiawhina, Clinical Needs Assessment, Dietetics, Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, Social Work, and Speech Language Therapy services.


The Allied Health Service Leader is responsible for the day-to-day management of staff and resources within the Allied Health team including human resource management, quality and risk management, people and team development, and supporting service delivery improvements and model of care changes. The key responsibilities are to provide operational leadership and support and create an environment in which clinical skills and high standards of care are developed and maintained with the goal of providing quality person and whanau centred care. 


The role reports to the Allied Health Director, and you will be expected to provide regular reports on progress toward key deliverables, as well as monitoring and appropriate escalation of risks and issues.

The successful applicant will also be required to have competent computer skills and a current driving licence.


The salary for this role will be $119,000 - $124,000 per annum pro rata, depending on experience
