As the 2IC, you will be responsible for assisting the seamless day-to-day management of our workshop, assisting in driving productivity, ensuring exceptional work quality and the highest levels of customer satisfaction while maintaining operational efficiency.  

A typical day in the role will involve:

To undertake WOF inspections and routine service and repair work through the prompt and accurate diagnosis of vehicle faults and service needs that delivers the required level of customer satisfaction.

To be successful in this role, you need to have a strong customer service focus, the ability to learn quickly, be fast and efficient while maintaining quality, accuracy and enjoy being part of the team.

Communicate directly with clients when required, manage their expectations and handle customer complaints or service inquiries. Ensure all repairs and maintenance are carried out to a high standard, meeting the workshops quality and safety guidelines.  

To act as the right-hand person to the workshop manager, stepping in to manage the workshop when the manager is absent. 

You require:

• Automotive Technician qualification
• WOF authority qualification 
• Dedicated to customer service and satisfaction
• A full New Zealand drivers licence
• Must be eligible to work in New Zealand
• Excellent communication skills for effective teamwork and customer service
• Honest and reliable work ethic
• High attention to detail
• Strong desire to learn new technology
• The ability to work in a team environment
