Delays traveling to Cromwell

Delays traveling to Cromwell

People who travel on the Luggate-Cromwell section of SH6 will be impacted by road reconstruction until October 16.

Just over 500 metres of highway at Blair Athol, south of Queensbury, north of Kidd Creek, is being resurfaced by NZTA’s Aspiring Highways maintenance team, adding up to ten minutes to road users’ journeys.

  • Hours of work are 8 am to 6 pm, week-days only, with speed reduced to 30km/h ahead of and through the site.
  • This work is weather dependent so wet days may push the completion date out.
  • Over-dimension load drivers need to notify Aspiring Highways 48 hours before setting out on the highway network.

NZTA thanks all daily drivers for their patience while this essential maintenance project is underway.
