The classic often attracts hundreds of people for the community day out.

You don’t need a boat - around 30 per cent of people usually fish from Lake Hāwea’s shores.

Child (11 and under), Junior (12 – 18 years), Adult, Women Angler & Family

Programme

Weigh-in between 2pm to 4:30pm on competition day – at the Lake Hāwea Community Centre.

Prize giving from 6:30pm at the Lake Hāwea Community Centre.

All net proceeds from this event are distributed back to local community groups

Please note that all participants must be present and in line at the weigh-in before 4:00pm, fish must be presented on ice to be eligible for entry.
