Evita Shen is a passionate permie who is enthusiastic about healthy good food. She's been on a Permaculture journey with her husband for the last 15 years in Australia and in Tuatapere since 2023. In this time, she's been mastering the art of sourdough bread, fermenting everything she grows for kimchi, sauerkraut, or lacto-veggies, she makes yogurt, cheese and tofu, brews kombucha and more.
Grow Wānaka is thrilled to host Evita for a Kimchi Making Workshop where she walks us through the health benefits of kimchi, ingredients, and then making our own jars of kimchi to take home. We'll be running an Activated Foods Workshop ahead of this one if you'd like to participate in both.
The Workshop will run from 1:30pm to 3:30pm on Sunday March 8th at Grow Wānaka Community Garden.
